I officially have a blog. I remember only a few months ago saying ‘what’s a blog?’ and ‘why would I want one?, it’s like I had been living under a rock for the last few years! I just never really clicked…as embarrassing as that is.
When you start a business as we did back in 2016, there’s always a ridiculously long checklist of things that you need to do/think about/plan. For example, choose a business name, a colour scheme, choose your niche, buy the equipment if needed, start a Facebook page, and create a website. The list goes on and on but you get the idea. We did all of these things but it never occurred to me to start a blog. To be honest, I was put off as I didn’t realize you could add one to an existing website, nor how easy it is. To be fair mind it has taken a few days of constant googling and learning what hex keys are, meta data and everything else that seemed like a foreign language. Anyway, in short – God bless WordPress!
You might be thinking, why start a blog now?
For years now I have been creating new recipes, experimenting with ideas, planning events and capturing photos of it all. But my recipes have been scribbled notes in countless notebooks and the photos get left on my phone. I feel like I have finally found the right outlet for everything. Instead of me trying to cram recipes with ingredients and steps, or blurbs about new spices I’m using into Instagram captions, it just makes so much more sense to be able to do it here.
Not only that, but I have finally set up my online shop with key seasonings and spices. They are all either created myself or brought over directly from Lebanon. Knowing how overwhelming it can be learning to cook or trying to master a specific cuisine, I’ll be choosing one spice, herb, seasoning or even an ingredient and giving you the full low-down. But if you do have any questions or something doesn’t make sense, feel free to comment or send us a message. I promise to reply <3
I’ll keep this short for now and since I have about a million recipes to start typing (why didn’t I do this years ago?) I’ll be off. Please don’t forget to follow us on Facebook, Instagram and to subscribe to my emails. I promise I won’t spam your inboxes and you’ll get a FREE Mini Mezze E-book when you do. Thanks for the love, small businesses like mine needs all the love we can get xx
P.S. THANK YOU.
